The hard drinks, alcoholic drinks, like beer, whiskey or even bhang can give you momentary pleasures, but you will feel the real pain once the celebration is over. And if you are concerned about the hangover and don’t know how to get rid of it then here is the post worth reading. Today i am going to share a few quick and simple tricks you can use to get rid of hangover of all types.

Holi has arrived, it is on 12th and 13th March 2017, and you are all set to celebrate the colourful festivals with alcohols and bhang. But, what about waking up the next day and going to work? It is then you will feel terrible, my article will give you some helpful solutions to the problem.

Saturday parties and holi without drinks is next to impossible, so here are some of the useful tips that will help you to get rid of hangover. You have serious headaches as if the burden of the whole world is on your little head, or as if someone is hammering in your brain. Even if you wake up in the morning, you feel it is impossible to drag your body. Even, I have felt the same as you, and then my best friend Rhea came to my rescue.

Simple ways to get rid of hangover

There are ways by which you can get rid of this hangover, and you can find all the probable and useful solution at your home. The tips are easy, so you will have no added pain to gather all the resources and remove the hangover.

Drink plenty of water

While you are drinking, you are absorbing all the toxins and including that garbage in your system. But, while you are dancing and grooving in the parties, or enjoying the cool bhang in holi, you hardly think of toxins, do you? The toxins enter your body, and cause havoc in your system. The best way is to drink lots of water. Water will enter your body, flush out the toxins, detoxify your body, and you will feel relaxed. You do not have to drink lots of water at one go, you can sip it at gradual intervals, and you will find that the hangover is gently receding.


Honey is that magical potion that has innumerable health benefits, and it will come to your rescue even during the bad times like hangover. Honey has fructose which will mix with the blood, metabolize the alcohol, the alcohol will be digested fast by the liver and you will feel better. Honey also has potassium which will help in better digestion of the alcohol. Take 2-6 tablespoons of honey, every 20 minutes until you feel better. Honey is sure to help you to beat the hangover.


Banana is rich in potassium, just like honey. When you drink too much, the potassium level is reduced, and you feel lethargy and headaches. Bananas will help in better digestion and also it will increase the level of potassium in the body. Have one or two medium sized bananas to get rid of the hangover.


In a glass of water, squeeze one whole lemon, add a pinch of salt and sugar, and drink it at one go. The lemonade is even better than just water. The lemon is a strong cleansing agent and a detoxifying agent. The toxins will be flushed out of your system, and you will be back to normal shortly.

Tomato juice

Tomatoes are rich in minerals, vitamins and also enzymes which will recharge your body within minutes. Alcohol reduces the level of all the vitamins, minerals and water in the body; this is why you feel sleepy and lethargic after getting drunk. The tomato juice is highly beneficial during these times. Make tomato juice, add salt and pepper and then have it as soon as possible.

Detoxifying bath

A bath in lukewarm water is what the body needs now. Sit in a tub of lukewarm water and relax. If possible, add some vinegar, lavender oil or tea tree oil in water. The water will ease the pressure that is in your body, it will cure the headaches, the joint pain. It will also help in muscle relaxation. You will feel better instantly after the detoxifying bath.


Caffeine can give you relief in hangover. The coffee will boost your energy, curing your headaches and sleepiness. But, make sure that you are drinking enough water too, because too much coffee can cause dehydration.


Eggs are rich source of protein, amino acids called cysteine. Cysteine will negate the ill effects of the alcohol, so you will feel better. The high protein present in the eggs can shoot the level of your energy, it will increase your metabolism, and you will feel energetic.


Few slices of ginger will negate the effects of hard drinks. You will often find that people drink ginger tea in case of cough and cold and headaches. Ginger can detoxify, increase the immunity and also metabolize the alcohol present in your system. If you hate the taste of raw ginger, then you can mix bit of honey with it and then consume it.

Fatty foods

I know you may think that maybe I am in hangover while mentioning this point in my article. But, no, I am not. Fatty foods or the greasy foods like chips and fries, burgers and pizzas can come in handy during the hangover. The fatty foods will form a layer fat in your liver and intestines, so the effects of alcohol will be nullified. If you are stuffing yourself with lots of fatty foods before drinking, then you are less likely to get heavy hangover. This is one time when I actually talking in favor of the fatty foods.
