But on a serious note, sprouting moong beans or any other bean is very easy and here’s how I sprout the moong at home;

Take about a cup of moon beans. Wash it properly and let it soak overnight. Soaking it for 10-12 hours is good enough in case of moong or mung beans.

Next morning, strain the water completely from the soaked beans. Take a kitchen towel or any other cotton cloth and put your soaked beans on it. Wrap it properly and sprinkle some water on the cloth, so that it becomes a bit moist.

Or you can simply spread the soaked beans in a kitchen tray or plat and cover it with the kitchen towel. Leave it for next 24 hours in your kitchen, at a darker place.

How to sprout moong beans at home

You may like to sprinkle water on the cloth once or twice. And when you un-wrap the cloth, what you get is pure awesomeness. The magical, healthy and super nutritious moon sprouts. You should eat it fresh to enjoy the freshness and crunch. But once sprouted, you can easily keep it in the refrigerator for next 3 to 4 days.
